Agree what will be inspected
Identify the features that determine whether the part works: a locating bore, a mounting pattern, a sealing face or an assembly clearance. Discuss measurement methods and any report you need during quotation.

Decide the evidence you need
Ask for material traceability, dimensional reports or specific testing if your application needs them. Availability, method, sampling and cost should be confirmed before the order, rather than assumed from the website.
Handle a mismatch with the same reference
Send the order reference, approved drawing revision and a clear description of the issue. Include measurements and photographs of the affected feature. Review the result against the agreed acceptance criteria to decide the next action.
