Define the test
List the fit, function and appearance checks the sample must pass. The outcome should answer a design question, not simply be “looks good.”
Record the approved revision
Pair the approved model and drawing with the material, finish and measured features. Keep superseded files separate.
Review what changes at volume
A different production quantity can change fixturing, tooling or the process route. Ask which aspects of the prototype remain representative.
Set the next checkpoint
Agree whether the first production part requires review and what evidence will accompany the batch. A clear checkpoint is more useful than an undefined promise of inspection.
